iSync OS X Guide
iSync lets you sync your Mac to your handheld devices such as an iPhone, Palm, iPod, etc. You can have your iCal events automatically updated to your bluetooth devices so you never miss a meeting. This can be done to you iPod, phone or any bluetooth device. You can also update USB devices with iSync.
Setting up a device
To sync a device to your Mac, you first need to add it to iSync.
- First, connect your device to your computer if connecting via USB.
- Open iSync from your dock or application folder.
- Click on sync devices and iSync will automatically search for devices connected to you computer or nearby via bluetooth.
- Your devices should appear in a Add Devices window. Double click on their icon to add them.
- The iSync window shows a panel which lets you choose what information you want to sync to your device. If you want iSync to automatically update your devices with the new events, click on the "automatically synchronize when device is connected" checkbox.
- Choose which group of address book contacts to sync and select which calenders you want.
- Click on sync devices.
