On february 19th, Apple dropped the price of the 1GB iPod Shuffle to 49$. This is a surprising 30$ price drop.

On the same day, Apple introduced the 2GB iPod Shuffle the 69$ This is 10$ lower than the price of the 1GB iPod Shuffle before the price drop.

At this price, Apple will be much more competitive with the low-end MP3 market.
